Tiered Deployment Strategy
We offer our services with four distinct tiers, with each tier being a logical step to bring the facility closer and closer to net zero. We only work with certified and experienced contractors for anything we do that needs to be outsourced.
Level 1
At this tier, we go for the low-hanging fruit: the water tank. Restaurants go through impressive quantities of hot water on a regular basis, which makes it the perfect source to dump some of our excess heat from the existing walk-in and/or the HVAC system. Depending on the profile of these two heat sources as well as the facility layout, we can either replace the current water tank or we add a second water pre-heater tank to recycle free heat. If the facility does not have a walk-in but needs one to replace multiple reach-ins, we consider it the perfect opportunity to build them a new bulletproof walk-in superior in quality to what they could get anywhere else. This brings a 20-40 percent reduction on utilities in addition to reducing wear and tear on the HVAC system.
Level 2
At this tier, we install our customizable Thermal Network Router as well as run connections through the walls and/or ceiling for all your appliances. We retrofit or replace every possible appliance that needs to be hot or cold and connect it to the network. We replace your existing HVAC system with our unified system, dramatically reducing ambient noise. This brings an additional 30-40 percent savings, bringing the total up to 50-70 percent.
Level 3
The facility is now thermodynamically efficient enough to run mostly if not in full from rooftop PV+T panels. We use PV+T panels to not only increase electrical generation, but to capture that excess low-grade heat that they generate on hot summer days and send it to our Thermal Network Router, which decides how it will be used. We install a smart Anker electrical panel and Anker electrical storage. The electrical storage is then connected to the Thermal Network Router in order to maintain optimal temperatures at all times.
Level 4
The facility is now prepared for the ultimate level of efficiency. We rip out your sidewalks and parking lot and install a specialized geothermal bore hole for deep thermal storage during the summer to be extracted and used during the winter. When we repave, we include thermal loops connected to the Thermal Network Router which will automatically defrost the parking lot and sidewalks. Smart EV chargers are installed. If the facility was not quite self- sufficient before, this will push it the rest of the way.
